Built in 1954, The ROOMS  studio space has served numerous purposes over the years. It's been an ice house, a distribution center, and, from the 1980s on, it was the stockroom for Klotz Tile. In the mid 2000s, the building was gutted and construction began on  what would become Electric Ladyland Rehearsal Studios, later changed to simply "Electric Studios." In 2012, Electric Studios partnered with Mind's Eye, a prominent recording and production house out of Glendale, AZ, and was renamed Mind's Eye Rehearsal Studios. During this era, a dozen or so new rooms were added, and the studio became the fixture in the Phoenix music scene that it is today. 

In its current evolution as The ROOMS, the studio welcomes new co-owner Scott Gregory, who managed Mind's Eye from 2012-2017. He brings with him years of experience from both sides of the business, as a renting musician and as an employee of the studio. 

He hopes to make The ROOMS a musician's community unlike anything else AZ has to offer.

After 10 years of labor, the ultimate vision for the studio is very nearly realized. With the completion of 5 new rooms, updated security systems and lighting, some added amenities, and a cosmetic overhaul, The ROOMS is set to be a smoothly running operation for years to come.
